Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the extrinsic and intrinsic motivational factors of teachers in a Higher Education Institution. Teachers play an essential role in education; they are one of the pillars of education and play the role of driving agent for the transmission of knowledge. Occasionally, teachers are not given the place they deserve in public or private institutions or in the culture in which they are immersed; however, over the years and despite everything, there are still teachers who work with motivation, passion and high quality standards. The participants in this research are teachers of the Graduate Division. The population size is 77 teachers and the sample size was 75 teachers, which represents a confidence level of 99%, which translates into reliable information. This study shows that the majority of the teachers of the institution surveyed are satisfied with their work and the institution in which they work, some items that show more than 90% satisfaction are the following: 97.33% are satisfied with the subjects they teach since they correspond to their professional training, 98. 67% are clear about the objectives of the subjects, 94.67% said they were satisfied with the academic freedom established by the institution, 93.34% mentioned being satisfied with working in the educational institution in question, each of the items will be discussed in detail in the results section.
ER -
